Reverse: A collage with images of three commemorative coins (Rider, Tulipa Regelii, and Space) is featured alongside an image of the tenge ideogram, against the background of a 10,000 tenge banknote and a design based on the ideogram of Kazakhstan’s national currency. The reverse also contains the name of the coin (in Kazakh) “15 Years of Tenge”and an inscription “2008” referring to the year of coinage.
Obverse: Features the state emblem of the Republic of Kazakhstan framed by an ornamental eight-point rosette and an inscription (in Kazakh) “Kazakhstan National Bank” underneath. The lower segment of the obverse contains inscriptons indicating the coin’s face value, “500 Tenge” (in Kazakh), the symbol of Kazakhstan Mint, and references to the coin’s weight, “31,1 g”, and metal “Ag 925”. The obverse is framed by a dotted line along the rim.
